Yesterday saw the premiere of the new video from Aussie rockers AIRBOURNE for their bitchin’ track ‘Bottom Of The Well’ over with our friends at Shazam.
The track and the video (literally) kicks all kinds of ass!! If you like nothing more than some good rock n roll, then check it out in the player below. As frontman Joel himself explains, “We’ve never been about having a specific message. We don’t talk about politics or social injustices in our songs. There are other bands out there to take care of that. With us, it’s not like that. It’s just rock and roll. We want people to have a good time, no matter what. Have a drink; play it really loud and kick back.”
Bottom of the Well is taken from the band’s current album No Guts. No Glory, which is in stores now. Get it for
KENNY WAYNE SHEPHERD recently chatted to Music Radar, the leading website for musicians, about his favourite Fenders.
Obviously a pretty accomplished guitar player, it’s not just his prowess that’s worth talking about- his guitar collection is pretty notable too. His favorite guitar (his “baby”) is a 1961 strat, and while the guitar is irreplaceable, Kenny teamed up with Fender to make an exact replica — complete with every scratch, ding and imperfection as the original. And while that’s cool enough for any guitar player to be able to say, what’s more is Shepherd also has his very own signature strat with Fender — black with some muscle car racing stripes. But we’re not here to give away the whole story…
If you missed the Music Radar premiere of the clip, you can check it out here, now on Roadrunner UK by clicking on the player below. Kenny’s new album Live! In Chicago hits stores on Monday (October 18th). Pre-order online HERE.

Shazam took some time to chat with KOí¿N when they were in the UK last week- specifically guitarist Munky Shaffer- and they spoke about touring the UK and Japan (where they headed to post UK) and the reception of their new album Korn III- Remember Who You Are.
“Everyone here is really cool and has good taste.” Said Munly on why he enjoys coming to play in the UK, “I’m always asking fans what bands they’re into. That’s how I find out about new music.“
Munky also touched upon the fact that the band do have new material being worked on as they tour the globe in support of their current offering, “There is a few songs that are currently being born. Jonathan (Davis;Vocals) likes to write on the road so he has this Open Lab product called a Miko and so he can be writing all the time, but I think we will keep to the 2inch tape way of recording. I mean, we edit in Protools but for the actual recording we want to keep it analogue. We just all really like the way it sounds. The drums sound great recorded this way.”
You can check out the full interview AT THIS LOCATION.

It’s time for part two of our AB III Track by Track with ALTERBRIDGE frontman Myles Kennedy. In the series, Myles is taking us through the new Alter Bridge album each track in turn, and giving us a feel for how the tracks came together and the lyrical inspiration for the tracks.
In this part of the video interview, Myles walks us through the middle section of the album, which covers the tracks ‘Be Rifferiffic’ (AKA ‘Still Remains’), ‘Make It Right’, ‘It’s A Wonderful Life’- a song that means a lot to Myles and was one that was particularly difficult for him to record- ‘I Know It Hurts’ and ‘Show Me A Sign’. There’s also input from Satan himself…
If you missed Part 1, you can check it out HERE.

Last December saw SATYRICON finish up their touring of album The Age Of Nero here in London and head back to their native Norway to take a well deserved break and think about the future.
This morning, we recieved a message from frontman Satyr annoucing that work is about to commence on the bands follow-up to The Age Of Nero and that there will be more in the pipeline for the new year! Writes Satyr:
“Our off year is coming to an end and in a few months time we will start writing for a new album. We are feeling fresh and charged. In 2011 we will re-release all albums from the nineties with updated art work and re-mastering where it is needed. There might even be some interesting shows to go with it!”
As the band never got to play Russia with The Age Of Nero, the first shows to be announced are two there, namely St Petersburg and Moscow on the 11th and 12th December respectively.
