Shazam took some time to chat with KOí¿N when they were in the UK last week- specifically guitarist Munky Shaffer- and they spoke about touring the UK and Japan (where they headed to post UK) and the reception of their new album Korn III- Remember Who You Are.
“Everyone here is really cool and has good taste.” Said Munly on why he enjoys coming to play in the UK, “I’m always asking fans what bands they’re into. That’s how I find out about new music.“
Munky also touched upon the fact that the band do have new material being worked on as they tour the globe in support of their current offering, “There is a few songs that are currently being born. Jonathan (Davis;Vocals) likes to write on the road so he has this Open Lab product called a Miko and so he can be writing all the time, but I think we will keep to the 2inch tape way of recording. I mean, we edit in Protools but for the actual recording we want to keep it analogue. We just all really like the way it sounds. The drums sound great recorded this way.”
