DAVE MUSTAINE CHECKS IN AGAIN FROM CAMP MEGADETH

Posted on May 16, 2009

So it would seem Roadrunner’s own Mike Gitter (A&R) stopped in on MEGADETH’s Dave Mustaine in the studio the other day, and Dave just made an update on the band’s OFFICIAL MYSPACE blog about the visit. It would seem it was a positive one…

Droogies!
I just wanted to take some time to update you on what is going on on my world, and I hope to see Chris today and will check when he is going to have some time to say hello.
Yesterday at the studio, we had a visitor from Roadrunner, our A&R man – Mike Gitter. I was at the studio yesterday morning to work on my biography with my co-writer, Joseph Layden, and I hear the doorbell ring just about 9:00 and I open the door and Mike is there. I asked, “you are here early, what would have happened if I didn’t come in early, and he said that he made it from the traffic being light and the flow going his way.
We went to get some breakfast and came back to Andy Sneap feverishly working in the studio on the Land Of The Lost (LOTL) music that I provided for the film, and I looked into the control room and saw Will Ferrell going over a cliff first thing in the morning. It was quite surreal.
But nothing felt as good as when I was in the studio and the first song stopped and Mike hollered, “YEESSS!!!”

The release date of the new material is still TBC. Keep checking back here for more news.
