Today saw CRADLE OF FILTH film a new video for a track from current album GODSPEED ON THE DEVIL’S THUNDER. The shoot, which was for the track ‘Death of Love’, took place at the world famous Pinewood Studios.

Roadrunner UK was there to watch the action, and updated the Official Roadrunner UK Twitter with updates from the set. HEAD HERE to check them out, and add it to your Twitter feed for more updates from RR UK!

Cradle of Filth left the set today to prepare for a run of dates in Australia, and are set to headline Bloodstock Festival, which takes place August 14, 15 and 16.

ALEXISONFIRE shot the first video from their upcoming album OLD CROWS / YOUNG CARDINALS recently and it turned out to be quite a soggy affair…

The video, which is for the track YOUNG CARDINALS, was shot on the one of the Maid’s Of The Mist- the boats that travel back and forth from Canada’s Niagara Falls and America’s Bridal Veil Falls. Apparently this was something the band have thought about doing for a long time. How do we know this? Well, we have some behind the scenes foot age of the shoot to give us a bit of an insight!

Looks like fun- even if it was rather wet fun!

The band will release the album OLD CORWS / YOUNG CARDINALS on JUNE 22nd. They will be in the UK next month to play 3 shows at London’s Borderline (9th, 10th, 11th)- all now sold out!!

BRAVEWORDS recently had a chat with SLIPKNOT’S Corey Taylor as the band embark on a tour of Canada in support of current album ALL HOPE IS GONE.

When talking about if he was happy with the album, Corey comments:

“Oh yeah, fuck yeah, man,” gushes vocalist Corey Taylor. “It surpassed my expectations. I’m very, very happy with it. I still listen to it. I’m just digging what we made, I’m really fucking happy about it.”

He also discusses the ‘screaming’ vs ‘melodic vocals’ question:

“Any time you scream, people think you’re pissed,” says Taylor. “And with good reason, because nine times out of ten you are pissed. But on the other side of that, people think that to show emotion you have to scream and I’ve been the first one to call bullshit on that for a long time. I think we’re able to show more emotion on this album, and there’s a lot of melody to this. It put the idea out there that you can be emotional and not scream blood into your throat. Everything that we tried just worked on this album and just felt really good.”

MUTINY WITHIN have checked in again- and it would seem that they have finished work on their debut. The opening line of their mail sums it all up really…

The record…IS FINISHED!!
This has been quite an incredible journey, all the way from New Jersey to Florida, back to New Jersey, and then back to Florida again. We initially started this process on December 14th, 2008, and we’ve now just completed, May 7th, 2009.
Above all, we have to thank our producer Jason Bieler and his engineer Matt LaPlant. These guys are incredibly hard working and they really put their stamp on this record. The results have far exceeded our expectations and we can’t wait for you all to hear.

CKY recorded a video recently for the track A1 ROLLER RAGER (available NOW on all digital platforms!!) and we took the opportunity to catch up with the guys about what’s been going on and all about the upcoming album CARVER CITY, which sees a release here in the UK on the 18TH MAY.
