Out NOW, check out this awesome review of To My Surprise from Logo Magazine… ‘To My Surprise’ are perfectly named. This solo outing from Slipknot’s ‘Clown’ leads you to expect a hurricane of monstrous riffs, sub-guttural vocals and drug-fuelled abandon, no? Well, hold onto your socks because opener ‘The World’s Too Small’ sounds exactly like Beck, The Webb Brothers and Butthole Surfers playing with poisonous tree frogs. It is, in a word, perfect. It doesn’t stop there. ‘Come With Me’ summons an image of Jimi Hendrix barging into a Foo Fighters session, while, noí¢äå_ surely not, could ‘Sunday’ really be a lost Beatles song? Things do come back to earth somewhat with the random punk-metal lunacy of ‘Get It To Go’, but the damage is done – we’ll never look at slipknot in the same light again. Respect is most definitely due.
