A long day, and alotta film… but the shoot for the brand new video for Cradle of Filth’s Nymphetamine is done. Shot yesterday, crew were on site by 7:30am til the last take at not long before 2am! The band also had an early start, driving into London for the shoot from Ipswich, and finally arriving home around 4am this morning! Roadrunner is also tired today, but pleased to report we took quie a few photos during the day, which we’ll be posting next week, for a behind the scenes piece. Meanwhile, Dave (bassist) hauled himself out of bed to send forth this quick note about yesterday: “The video shoot for ‘Nymphetamine’ went great. Had a very early start at 7am, obviously with a hangover, and spent 14 hours holed up in a damp underground vault near the London Dungeon. Pretty grim stuff. The director, Dani Jacobs, and his crew were brilliant and worked flat out all day filming lots of different scenes with Dani, the band, Liv Kristine and our 2 very beautiful actresses. I can’t wait to see the finished version. Hope they get to include what will be the first windmill headbanging in a metal ballad, haha!!! Liv was amazing and I wanna thank her for being so cool.”
Corey Taylor has posted the following message at the message board StoneSourBoard.tk: “I’d like to give you a little update on the Stone Sour front as we haven’t done that in a long time. 1. We have 30 full and partial songs brewing at the moment. 2. Jamey from Hatebreed has expressed his interest in doing a song with us and most definitely will. 3. Plans are being made to start work in September of 2005, or perhaps even earlier, depending on the schedule. “That’s it for now. “Thank you to everyone for keeping the fires lit while Jim and I indulge our other passion. Commitment has to be total, and at the moment our commitment is to the ‘KNOT. But as soon as we’re done touring with SLIPKNOT, it’s on. I’m writing, Jim’s writing, Josh is writing, everyone is gearing up for this. “Stay tuned.”
If you have yet to do so, download “Like Light To The Flies” off Trivium’s MUSIC page. Now that that is out of the way, Trivium is currently touring on the US Road Rage tour with Chimaira and Machine Head. Guitarist/vocalist Matt Heafy checks in with the following: “Yo! Matt here in North Carolina…in the midst of two tornadoes, one hurricane, and a tropical storm, but that ain’t stoppin’ us. We are getting to Atlanta tomorrow and Orlando on Saturday no matter what natural disaster gets in our way. So we’re a bit into the second week of touring and I must say so far the tour has been fantastic. Two standout shows in particular – Worcester, MA at the Palladium — one word- UNREAL. My favorite show so far. People were dancing, moshing, pumping horns, screaming along with the songs. The energy was so intense I threw my guitar down during í¢äåñPillars Of Serpentsí¢äå to get a little more up close with our fans. You can check out some cool photos from this show at www.zeroflesh.com and see what I am talking about (Thanks Bruce). “Then there was Norfolk, VA at the Norva. Now, we played here on the Iced Earth tour to an extremely active, amazing crowd – and to continue the tradition of Trivium at the Norva… it was the same. People knew who we were this time and they were nuts. It felt like we were playing a hometown show at the Norva. So there’s that. Now, make sure all you fans come down and check us out at a nearby show – we promise an unforgettable show…” And if you have ever seen them live, you’d agree.
