As voted on by 6,500 drummers worldwide, DREAM THEATER’S Mike Portnoy has taken home the 2010 Drummies Award for Progressive Rock Drummer and SLIPKNOT’S Joey Jordison has taken home the Drummies Award for Metal Drummer. Mike was also a runner up in 3 other categories- namely Live Performer, Metal Drummer and the overall Drummer Of The Year. LAMB OF GOD’S Chris Adler was a runner up in the Metal Drummer category.
Created by Enter Music Publishing, the Drummies are a 15-plus-year-running annual awards poll honoring drummers who made a contribution in the previous year, and inspired others to want to play better.
