Posted on August 1, 2011

Heavy metal rockers, MASTODON, have released Black Tongue as a digital single and if you haven’t bought it already, CLICK HERE to get your copy. The band also posted a picture of the artwork for the deluxe edition on their Facebook this weekend, which you can see on the left or alternatively CLICK HERE for a larger version.

The band were interviwed by Rolling Stone recently and below is what Brent had to say about the upcoming album:

“Kids are going to get in trouble to this album. They’re going to break speakers, pop springs on their beds and get drunk and nude in public.”

You can read the full interview AT THIS LOCATION and if you’d like to watch an interview with Brent that he did with Kerrang! at Sonisphere or the video that Brann filmed with NME giving a tour of the band’s tour bus, check out the videos below:

Adult Swim recently commission what they describe as a ‘Mister Rogers-inspired clip’ for MASTODON’s Deathbound (an unreleased outtake from Crack The Skye), which was created by Authority Films. The clip is ‘an exercise in gratuitous puppet violence that makes Peter Jackson’s Meet The Feebles look positively saccharine’ according to AV Club. You can download the song (along with previous Adult Swim releases) by CLICKING HERE. The Adult Swim clip is below:

MASTODON’s The Hunter is out on the 27th of September and you can find further details about the deluxe package pre-order by clicking HERE.
