For those of you who won’t have an invite to the DVD Premiere… here’s another way you can see the entire Slipknot DVD ‘Disasterpieces’ on the big screen. On November 24th, get yourself down to the Camden Underworld, London. It’s a mere fiver to get in, 퉌£4 with one of our flyers making their way around the streets of London over the next week (which handily also have a 퉌£2 off voucher for the DVD at Virgin). Plus it’s an all ages night. The DVD will be screened in it’s entirety, plus we’re sending BOX LOADS of Slipknot & Roadrunner goodies over for giveaways on the night – including keyrings, patches, t-shirts, DVDs, necklaces, posters, stickers, CDs, the list goes on. Not only that, you get a live set from the fabulous Ten Masked Men (yes, those guys who do metal covers of Britney Spears, Ricky Martin, Blue, and personal favourite Salt n’ Pepa’s Push It etc) and a very special guest! As for what to do after the club night, a short ride down the Northern tube line will take you to the Virgin Megastore at 14-16 Oxford Street for the special midnight opening where you can pick up your own copy of the DVD and get your mits on more free Slipknot goodies! Each year, only one song gets the distinguished honour of being called “Song of the Year,” according to to the US Billboard Monitor. This award goes to the song that receives the most spins during the year across all radio formats in the USA. As we are writing about this, obviously we have a reason – someone in the Roadrunner family is taking the prize. That being said, one guess as to which song in the Roadrunner repertoire will be receiving the “Song of the Year” award… Nickelback, “How You Remind Me” Yet another notch on the belt for this band and their accomplishments with the Silver Side Up release. Congratulations.

… in case you didn’t know, MTV2’s ‘Gonzo’ is repeated the next day, so the awesome Slipknot DVD Premiere competition will run again tomorrow between 12 – 2pm.

Remember we said one way to get invited to the special Slipknot DVD Premiere was to win a competition? This afternoon from 5-7 pm there will be a massive competition to win a pair of tickets PLUS travel AND accommodation to the London Screening of ‘Disasterpieces’ on MTV2’s ‘Gonzo’ with Zane Lowe. The Slipknot DVD ‘Disasterpieces’ is released on November 25th. So what are we doing here in the UK? We’ve already told you about the midnight opening at Virgin in London. Now let us tell you about the extraspecial Premiere… Come November 21st, at 6:30pm, a very exclusive group of invited industry folk, guests, Roadrunner teamers, and competition winners will descend on a special ‘Disasterpieces’ Premiere in London. The DVD will be screened in full at specially hired cinema, and of course free popcorn and a free bar will be provided. There will be no more than 130 people in attendance. On November 1st in New York City, the Roadrunner US office led a ‘Maggot March’ to promote the upcoming Slipknot DVD. For those who were not there, this was a spectacle which needs to be seen to be believed – hundreds of fans and industry folk in the Grand Ballroom of the Manhattan Center, all celebrating and watching the upcoming Slipknot ‘Disasterpieces’ DVD. The atmosphere was a total carnival – hot dog, candy floss & popcorn stands, fire breathers, a man hammering nails up his nose, giveaways, a belly dancer, three bars (of course), and a bug eating chick. Clown, Paul, Chris, and Craig from Slipknot were present – all gathered on stage to introduce the DVD. We present to you the first of a two part video installment showing this party to all who could not attend, and to those who wish to re-live the experience. WATCH IT HERE. Did You Know? There was a maggot at the event by the name of Joe (dressed in the perfect Clown get up). Joe was the FIRST person in line that day, arriving at 5am. Joe has a (sic) tattoo on his right leg. All four members of Slipknot autographed the tattoo, as Joe had plans of turning the autographs into tattoos the very next day. Last night, November 7th, saw the Murderdolls conclude their UK dates, following an instore signing by playing with Papa Roach at London’s Brixton Academy. And it was most definitely a stormin’ set, the band blasting through Dead In Hollywood, 197666, Let’s F*ck, I Love To Say F*ck, Slit My Wrist, Mr Motherf*cker, amongst other glamtastic tunes. Not only that, but Papa Roach’s set had a little surprise… the one and only Joey Jordison joining Coby & co onstage behind the drums for a song. And we have exclusive photos.
