THE PARLOR MOB, have announced two extra headline shows in the wake of their current support slot on the Black Stone Cherry tour.

The band will now play the following additions to their UK run:

Mon 9th Nov – Nottingham Rock City (late show)
Wed 11th Nov – London Barfly

The London Barfly show is presented in tandem with Planet Rock Radio, who are giving away a number of show tickets all this week across all shows on the station. Tickets are available from Ticketmaster and at the box offices of both venues.

ALEXISONFIRE will premier their brand new video this weekend over at MUZU TV!! Fans in the UK and Ireland will be able to head there SATURDAY morning (thats the 10th October) to see the video for the track BORN & RAISED. Think chinese food, dancing dragons and an inevitable performance from one of the best live bands on the circuit!

It’s here! It’s KISS studio update 5! When in the studio working on their new album SONIC BOOM, Kiss took cameras into the studio with them to capture some behind the scenes footage for their fans and here you can catch the fifth of seven installments, which were first shown on KISS ONLINE.

This week we are getting to know THEORY OF A DEADMAN’S Tyler Connolloy. We caught up with him when they were here in the UK and here is what he had to say…

What were you about to do when I interrupted you to do this?
I was going to charge my computer coz there’s no power on our bus

Date of birth?
August 26th 1975, I’m a Virgo and a virgin.

What high school did you go to?
North Delta Senior Secondary

And when you were at high school, what did you want to be when you grew up?
Eh, a homeless person or a gym teacher for girls.

What’s the first instrument you ever learned to play
The drums

What was the first band you were ever in and what did they sound like, tell us a bit about them?
I was in a rap band, it was just me and this other guy, and we used to rap. This was when I was thirteen. I was the DJ and I wrote most of the beats, recorded them all, did the scratching- the record scratching- and there was a few songs where I rapped in. It was pretty awesome. We were called ‘Black and White’ and I was ‘Tricky T’!

What is your favourite food?
Favourite food? Eh, I love Italian; I love pasta, gnocchi awesome, ever have that? It’s so good, it’s potato and pasta.

Beverage of choice?
Gin and tonic, slice of lime- Hendrick’s gin is pretty sweet or Bombay Sapphire.

Two I’ve never tried
Really, Hendrick’s gin is actually like 44% rock n roll

Biggest pet peeve on the road
You know I don’t have a lot, I’m trying to think of what they are… People who leave their shoes lying around all the time and the hallway at the end of bunks, there’s like a doormat where we put all the shoes, and you wake up in the middle of the night you trip over the shoes, and that’s about it.

Track of the moment? Favourite song that keeps going around in your head At the moment?
I don’t know if I have one. Taylor Swift?? Kidding. Maybe.

Album of the moment?
I just downloaded Purple from STP, Stone Temple Pilots. I had the record when I was younger but needed it again.

Movie of the moment that you saw recently or re-watched
I watched 1408 last night on the bus, meh. Stephen King, come on, good call. Eh, 1408 and…I went and saw some Hollywood movie not too long ago… that’s it.

What would you say is your most prominent career moment thus far?
Prominent? Probably quitting the band tonight. I don’t know, I think just, coming over to Europe has been great. You start a band in your basement and your life is taken to the next level and you play live. You’re really just thinking about expanding and having more than your mom and your sister come to your shows, so being able to come to Europe and maybe Japan, Australia- that’s pretty cool. We’re pretty excited, proud to come over here.

Random fact about you?
I have five tattoos, and I…shave my groin area.
