Lithium Magazine was onsite for the first ever Heavy TO in Toronto and obtained a slew of fantastic interviews, including one with Johl of BAPTIZED IN BLOOD. In this interview Johl talks about the evolution of BAPTIZED IN BLOOD, his punk-rock roots, and playing at Graspop among other things. Yeah, having to write anything while in a studio is different. The craziest part is these were songs that I wasn’t feeling at all. I couldn’t get into them for whatever reason. I think that’s why they were left until the last minute. As odd as it sounds, I can say for at least one of them now, that it’s like my favourite song on the album, that’s ‘Game On’. Originally I didn’t even want to write it. I told Josh at least a dozen times before getting to the studio to just scrap the song because I didn’t want to do the lyrics.
