Nothing’s Wrong

Posted on February 12, 2008

MVWire.com is reporting that director Joe Lynch is creating yet another amazing video in the form of DevilDriver’s “Nothing’s Wrong”. Winner of the “Filmmaker of the Year” in the Village Voice (Best of Long Island edition, 1999) for his horror shorts “mAHABRA” and “hiBeams”, Joe is known for his morbid, devious, and hilarious sense of humor, which he applies liberally to his videos. The video for “Nothing’s Wrong” takes place in the band’s rehearsal space in Santa Barbara, chosen “to simply capture the band in their elementí¢ä‰åŒ_ purely letting the music take over.” Joe described the shoot day as being “hot, cramped, sweaty as heck but fun as hell!” The video features an energetic atmosphere that is complemented by festive lighting Joe’s patented epilepti-cam, and includes almost 600 different camera angles. The focus was on the energy created by the band, and Joe describes the experience as being reminiscent of the effect that would be created if one were to put a firecracker in a mailbox. Paired with DevilDriver’s intense and explosive sound, this music video gets everything right. The band have posted some ‘Making Of’ video clips on their official site HERE.
