No Rest For The Wicked

Posted on February 12, 2008

A note from Most Precious Blood… “Just landed back on New York soil from New Zealand. What a tour. Our friend west side Dave @ Dynamo hooked it up. We hung at black sand beaches, climbed a mountain barefoot and fed penguins backstage at Kelly Tarltons thanks to our friend Ivan! Some of us even rode the reverse bungy in the middle of Auckland. We’ll have video on our site real soon. Oh yeah, we also snuck in a few SHOWS! Haha. And our shows broke some attendance records I think for US hardcore in New Zealand, we were psyched. The kids down in NZ were totally awesome to us and made us feel like family. We ended the tour playing a 2 car garage known as “X The Shed X” in Mount Maunganui. It was as packed as a 2 car garage could get. Totally illegal, cops swarming trying to shut it down, kids running through the street with fireworks, we sold merch out of the back of station wagon and got out of there as quick as we could to avoid arrest. It was a great way to end the tour. We had a total blast. Before NZ we did 2 week or so across Australia and that was mind blowing. Thanks to Graham & Pete & Robb and Resist Records for making the tour so awesome. Awesome big thanks to our boys in shotpointblank for doing the shows with us. Melbourne’s finest. Australia was through the roof as we say in MPB. The shows were insane. I think Melbourne was up there with the best, but Byron Bay ruled as well – as did the first show in Brisbaine – and now thinking of it, just about all the shows in Australia blew our expectations out of the pacific. Adelaide, Sydney, we even flew to Perth and had 2 awesome shows in the literally the middle of nowhere, Australia. It was an awesome tour. Now we’ve got a week off or so to try to catch up on sleep from jetlag and then we leave on another US tour. No rest for the wicked….” Justin
