Roadrunner Records congratulates both SLIPKNOT and DRAGONFORCE for their nominations in the “Best Metal Performance” Grammy category.

The multi-platinum hard rock force of nature known as Slipknot has been nominated for “Psychosocial”, the lead track from the Gold-certified All Hope is Gone album. This is the band’s seventh nomination in the category, which they have dominated for the past decade. They noteably notched a win in 2006 for “Before I Forget” from 2004’s Vol. 3: (The Subliminal Verses).

DragonForce, who’ve enjoyed incredible success over the past two years with their Guitar Hero antics and entertaining live shows, were nominated for the track “Heroes of Our Time” from Ultra Beatdown, which was released in August. This is the first Grammy nomination of their career.

The 51st Grammy Awards will take place at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on February 8th, 2009.

Also, tonight (05/12) sees Zane Lowe meeting Slipknot on MTV2! Tune in to Gonzo, MTV2 @ 7pm (channel 355 on SKY) to see his interview with Clown and Corey. MTV2 will also have an end of year special on the 30th December, with the band taking over the channel from midnight for 3.5 hours. The ‘Slipknot Night’ will also feature footage shot at the 3rd London Hammersmith Apollo show (that’s what all those cameras were for!!).
