Roadrunner UK caught up with Mikael and Fredrik from OPETH when they were over in the UK doing promo for the upcoming album, Heritage (out in a week!). The band discussed where the album was recorded, who was involved and much more. Artisan News Service conducted interviews with several musicians to get their thoughts on the 10th anniversary of the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001. In the video below, SLIPKNOT and STONE SOUR frontman COREY TAYLOR talks about the impact the attacks had on a SLIPKNOT tour (in support of the then-new album Iowa) that was supposed to begin that week:
BrutalBroadcast.com conducted an interview with guitarist Corey Beaulieu of Florida metallers TRIVIUM back in August and that interview is now online. BLACK STONE CHERRY guitarist Ben Wells was recently interviewed by Napster’s Music Blog. In the short Q&A, he discusses the status of the band’s latest album, Between the Devil and the Deep Blue Sea, and its single “Blame It On the Boom Boom,” and reveals where the band would like to head next on tour.
Says Wells about life on the Carnival of Madness tour with THEORY OF A DEADMAN and ALTER BRIDGE, “We all hang out and spend time with each other during the day and night. We often have BBQs by the buses!” He also admits that while the band will play “Anywhere that wants to hear BSC”, if the band had their choice, “we would love to play Hawaii”.
