To commemorate 30 years of Kerrang! Magazine as the World’s biggest music weekly and in celebration of the 12 years in which freelance photographer, Paul Harries, has photographed the mighty SLIPKNOT, there will be a photographic exhibition running for two weeks next month at The Strand Gallery in Central London.

This is the perfect opportunity to display Paul Harries’ fascinating work that has taken him all over the world. This includes Slipknot’s hometown of Des Moines, Iowa and as far away as Australia. Over sixty photographs will be on display, including behind the scenes and previously unseen images, only possible due to the trust and respect Slipknot has for Paul, allowing him exclusive access.

Slipknot is not always the easiest band to capture in the true essence of photography and also not very easy to work with in the photo environment.” commented Slipknot’s Clown, “Paul Harries has always been able to capture the band in its true form and has also been able to put up with all our bullshit that surrounds us night and day. Look at ‘the Knot’ as seen through the eyes of a true photographer, artist and friend.”

The exhibition is all the more poignant as it immediately follows Slipknot’s headline performance at Sonisphere Festival, Knebworth House. Fans will be delighted to learn that entry to this event, however, is completely free!

The exhibition will kick off on Tuesday, 12th July 2011 until Sunday, 24th July 2011 at The Strand Gallery, 32 John Adam Street, London, WC2N 6BP. the gallery is open from 11am – 7pm Mon to Sat, 11am – 6pm Sun.

Paul Harries will be available at the gallery on Saturday, 16th July from 3pm till 7pm, willing to share stories behind the photographs and discuss his photography. This informal appearance requires no prior booking.
