Killswitch Engage & Chimaira’s Set List

Posted on February 12, 2008

Did you guess the set lists right? Here is what Chimaira have been throwing down this tour…. (excluding last night’s Barfly show, which was decided by fans pulling songs names out of a hat. True.) “CLEANSATION STIGMURDER SILENCE/SEVERED SP LIT IMPOSSIBILITY OF REASON EYES OF A CRIMINAL DOWN AGAIN DEHUMANISING PROCESS POWER TRIP PURE HATRED” And here also, is the Killswitch Engage list (except also for the Barfly, which was seemingly decided as played along & shouted out): “Numbered Days Self Revolution Rose Of Sharyn Sons Of Man Bid Farewell Fixation On The Darkness Breathe Life Life To Lifeless Take This Oath When Darkness Falls My Last Serenade”

Crack Houses In Buffalo?

Posted on February 12, 2008

“Hey UK-nians. This is Keith from Every Time I Die, reporting live from the road. Well, not THE road as in a arbitrary term for the all-inclusive highway systems of the country, but MY road. In Buffalo, New York. Actually I just remembered it’s a street. But if I said “reporting from the street” everyone might think I was using urban slang, and that I was standing in front of an abandoned convenient mart or an otherwise bustling crack house, which I am not. Unless the house behind mine IS a crack house and I just dont know about it. The moral of the story is: dont rule anything out, because you never know. So we’ve been home for a few weeks now preparing for our 2 month stint on OZZFEST, the biggest tour of the summer if you dont count JOHN MAYER touring with MAROON 5 (get your tickets now because they’re going fast!). In case anyone has enquiries as to how a band such as ourselves prepares for the biggest tour of our lives, it involves chopping down trees and having a yard sale. We’ve all kept quite busy here in the US of A since we last saw anyone in February, having toured with As I Lay Dying for a month before heading out with OZZFEST-mates Throwdown for 2 short weeks. We have written a new song which has gotten the ball rolling for the intense writing that will begin in September and continue up until the night before our next record is recorded. I also had blood work done (cross your fingers!). We’ll do our best to keep everyone posted on our goings-on and we hope to see you soon. Keep on keepin on.” Keith and ETID

Roadrage USA Confirmed

Posted on February 12, 2008

We’re pleased to announce the lineup for the RoadRage USA 2004 tour, which is scheduled to kick off early August and run through mid-September. Joining MACHINE HEAD and CHIMAIRA will be our newer signings, THREE INCHES OF BLOOD and TRIVIUM. CMACHINE HEAD drummer Dave McClain: “Ever since the 2001 RoadRage tour, we’ve not only remained friends with the CHIMAIRA guys, but we’re also huge fans and are proud to share the stage with them one more time. This will prove to be THE best metal tour out there this summer.” CHIMAIRA vocalist Mark Hunter: “Saying it is an honor to hit the road again with MACHINE HEAD would be an understatement. Not only are these guys family to us, but they are the best live band out there right now. I just caught their show in LA on the Weapons of Mass Destruction tour and it was so good it forced a 10-year pit retiree to put his gloves back on one more time and fuck dudes up. It was that good!” With regards to THREE INCHES OF BLOOD and TRIVIUM, Hunter said: “Sharing the stage with TRIVIUM and THREE INCHES OF BLOOD will rock because they are both incredible up and coming metal bands. We can’t wait to help them get some of the exposure they deserve.” THREE INCHES OF BLOOD are set to release ‘Advance and Vanquish’ on September 27. TRIVIUM’s new CD is scheduled for release in early 2005.

So Far So Good

Posted on February 12, 2008

The debut Thornley video is in, and it is anything but hot. Remember that brutal winter weather we experienced not so long ago? Well, imagine that same weather, only this time, yur in Canada. Yes, it was cold, folks. Well, good thing this summer is here – the video reels have thawed, this “So Far So Good” video is now up in our VIDEO section, and Thornley is now touring the US like a well oiled rover (check out the video, you’ll see what we mean).

Destined To Be A Classic

Posted on February 12, 2008

Cradle Of Filth’s debut release for Roadrunner Records – titled Nymphetamine, currently set for a late September release – is getting ever close to completion. Though a sit down with the band’s A&R Rep here at Roadrunner, Mike Gitter, we get a few more details on the project. As of Sunday night just past, after all your sweet family BBQs for the weekend were wrapped up and you were dreaming of sweet nothings, Colin Richardson and Dan Turner (engineer since the beginning of this sordid affair) had over half the record mixed. Not an easy feat, either, given that there is upwards of 100 tracks or more per song. A big sounding record, to say the least. Mixing should be fully complete come first week in July. “I would have to say without a doubt, it’s Cradle Of Filth’s best record,” tells Mike Gitter. “Not merely a great COF record, but a great metal record. Both longtime fans and casual listeners will be pretty fuckin’ surprised.” We assure you Mike’s convictions are spoken with the utmost objectivity. And, might we add, there will be a track called “Gilded Cunt” on the album. This is destined to be a classic.

Slipknot See The Future

Posted on February 12, 2008

The RR UK office has just been camped around the office TV watching, naturally, probably like yourself, the England vs Switzerland football match. Yes, congratulations are due to our boys, and also our Slipknot boys for their astounding prediction. If you have picked up Vol 3: (The Subliminal Verses) you will know of what we speak. The final score of the match… 3-0… the third track on the album… Three Nil. Spooky.

3 Buses & 1 Milk Truck

Posted on February 12, 2008

Chimaira are currently touring round the UK with labelmates Killswitch Engage. We caught up with Chimaira’s Spicuzza in Belfast before tonight’s show and he sent this word: “Greetings, So you want to know how everything is going?? Well…. We are a traveling gang of 3 buses and one milk truck. Not one of us has air conditioning that works in our vehicle. Besides that, we are having a grand ol time. All the shows have been insane. Every band on this tour has toured together before so it’s the same routine of drinking and hanging out every night. Nothing too crazy has happened yet. Oh yea… we added Sp lit and Down Again to our setlist only because you guys asked for it. Cheers… Spicuzza”
