Last night (20/11) saw Sweden’s OPETH play London’s Shepherds Bush Empire (fans will remember they played this venue once before- it was where the Lamantation’s DVD was shot).

NICKELBACK released their new album DARK HORSE this week, and those folks over at KERRANG RADIO are loving it!! So much so, they have decided to play another track from the album in addition to the single- a track that is deemed ‘unsuitable’ for radio in the UK due to it being a lil…erm…racey??!!

The track, SOMETHING IN YOUR MOUTH, opens the album and in the clip below, you can not only hear the track but learn a lil more about the track and the album.

Kids In Glass Houses will return to the UK at the end of the month to play Love Music Hate Racism at Matter (O2 arean) on the 27th November. They’re British. They’re mighty. They’re METAL. They’re Iron Maiden! And earlier this year, KERRANG honoured them with a covermount CD of covers of their most famous tracks recorded by some of the bigest stars in metal today.

One such band was Roadrunner’s own MACHINE HEAD and Flynn and crew chose 1982’s HALLOWED BE THY NAME to record as their hommage to the band. Taken from their album of the same year, ‘Number Of The Beast’, the track describes a man’s thoughts just before being sent to the gallows… Ooh er!

Since recording the cover, the Machine Head guys have performed it live at some of their shows and here we bring you a killer video- featuring a mix of live performance and footage from the studio shot during the recording of the track- the guys have made for the track. Enjoy!!

The track is also available as part of the Special Edition of Machine Head’s THE BLACKENING- a strictly limited version of their most current album which is made up of 2 CD’s and a killer DVD of the band performing at Waken, Download and their Burn My Eyes anniversary show back in 2004 amongst others…

Friday (14/11) saw the BBC have their annual Children In Need fundraiser, with the channel dedicating an entire night to fun and frolics to raise money for various projects for children and young adults up and down the country.
