METHODS OF MAYHEM announced today an innovative and truly “interactive” concept for an album collaboration. The Tommy Lee-fronted ensemble is inviting fans to help record their upcoming album and also have a chance to perform with the band at their record release show!! The album, which will be titled PUBLIC MAYHEM, is set for release in early 2010.

An excited Tommy Lee gushed
This is a dream come true project where I get to play with the entire world’s creativity and add it to mine. That will produce something truly mind-blowing and amazing!!!”

Producer Scott Humphrey (Mötley Crüe, Rob Zombie, The Crystal Method) adds,
“The original Methods Of Mayhem project that we did 10 years ago was a collaboration with some of the biggest artists of the day. The Public Mayhem project is a collaboration with the entire world.”

Starting on October 5th, isolated instrument tracks, or stems, will be posted on the website Fans can download the stems and add their own musical ideas, including original recordings, song mixes, arrangements and more. Stems will be available via a wide range of formats including RiffWorks, WAV, Logic, GarageBand, ProTools and the Four Track 3.0 iPhone application.

Following the launch, video and sound updates will be posted at featuring submission highlights and weekly giveaways for the best audio and video entries.
