Washington D.C brain melting six-piece PERIPHERY are thrilled to announce their League Of Extraordinary Djentlemen tour - a string of headline UK dates for Jan/Feb 2011. Special guests on the LXD tour will be home-grown lads TesseracT and Monuments.

Periphery guitarist/lead songwriter Misha Mansoor, enthuses, “We are so excited to play in the UK, and especially so with our buddies in Tesseract and Monuments. I have known Acle from Tesseract and Browne and Paul from Monuments for like 5 years now, and it’s going to be awesome to not only tour with some good friends but in brand new places for Periphery! This lineup will make for some fun shows, so be sure to come out and hang with all of us!!”

Combining the atypical rhythms and technical precision of math rock with the brutality of progressive metal, Periphery unleashed their self-titled debut earlier this year. The band have been honing their road chops alongside touring stalwarts such as Lamb Of God, DevilDriver, Fear Factory, and Dillinger Escape Plan as well as on heavyweight US touring festivals Summer Slaughter and Thrash & Burn. Described by the British music press as ”a groundbreaking revelation” (Metal Hammer), “deliciously intricate” (Kerrang!), and “intriguingly diverse” (Rocksound), these live shows – their first ever in the UK - are sure to be a treat!!

Tickets go on sale on Wed 10th Nov, priced £10 for all shows excluding London (£12). All dates are aged 14+ and are as follows:

Mon 31st Jan – BRISTOL Academy 2
Tue 1st Feb – BIRMINGHAM Academy 2
Wed 2nd Feb – MANCHESTER Academy 2
Thu 3rd Feb – NEWCASTLE Academy 2

Sun 6th Feb – SHEFFIELD Corporation

Jake Bowen (guitar, Periphery) wraps up by saying, "The requests for Periphery to play in the UK have been overwhelming since our debut came out. And now not only do we get to tour there but we get be in the presence of fantastic musicianship from some of our good friends. Metal tours are seldom matched up this well so don't miss out!"
