ROB ZOMBIE KICKS OFF HIS FIRST UK TOUR IN 12 YEARS!

Posted on February 16, 2011

The Zombie has landed! The wait is over! Today is the day that ROB ZOMBIE kicks off his first UK tour in over 12 years and London’s Brixton Academy has the honour of hosting the first show!

Band and crew landed in the UK Monday to ready themselves for the tour and to arrange the UK transportation of a massive stage production. If you have tickets for the sold out tour, you are in for one hell of a treat!

[The UK] can expect a huge colossal spectacle, because unlike a lot of bands, we’re not skimping on our show, we’re bringing our full US show to the UK.” Rob told The List in a recent interview, “Financially that’s suicide, but I didn’t care. Because I didn’t want to stay away for 12 years and then we come over with nothing. So we are shipping the whole thing, I just hope that when it gets there it can fit on the stages.”

The time period that I discovered music and loved music, everything was just huge.” he elaborates, “As a young, young kid the first music I ever discovered was Alice Cooper, Kiss, Queen, Blue Oyster Cult, during the 70s, so everything was just larger than life so it was just burnt into my brain that bands were larger than life, they weren’t just regular guys playing music. That’s just the way that I saw things and I guess that never left me.”

Check out the full interview RIGHT HERE.

Roadrunner UK will be heading along to the show tonight. Keep an eye on our Official Twitter for updates and pics from the show!!
