GEAR NERD- GUITARS WITH ZAKK WYLDE

Before he performed at this years High Voltage festival with his band BLACK LABEL SOCIETY, we sat down and had a chat with Zakk Wylde about how he got into playing the guitar and his path to playing for Ozzy Osbourne, BLS and becoming one of the biggest names in the guitar world…
Roadrunner: Tell us how old you were when you first picked up a guitar and what made you pick it up?
Zakk Wylde: I just couldn’t stop masturbating [laughs] and the doctor recommended…well he put a pick and a guitar neck in my hand and he said “please, back away from the penis” [laughs], and he figured they always say the guitars an extension of a guys penis, ya’ know?
