Thanks For The Good Times And All The Best

Posted on February 12, 2008

It’s time to share some news. Dry Kill Logic are no longer on Roadrunner. The band also have a new guitarist. Lots of changes to be sure. Whatever the future brings the Dry Kill Logic guys, all here at Roadrunner UK wish them the greatest success. Thanks for the good times… and best of luck my friends. Cliff writes the following note for their site www.DryKillLogic.com: Cliff here. Been a while since the last update about 6 months or so? Something like that. Just wanted to take a second and write to tell you what’s up in our world… We’ve been home since May, writing the follow up to ‘TDSON’ in our NY studio. There’s been lots of activity in the DKL camp in that time – first off, to confirm some of those wonderful internet rumors, the band has indeed parted ways with Roadrunner Records. It’s a shame that we couldn’t be on the same page for the second record, but you know what? Whatever. We’re moving forward with the new material (and it is KICK ASS – you won’t be disappointed!), and those who dwell only get left behind. It is what it is, as someone once said… We also parted ways with guitarist Scott Thompson. The life of a musician isn’t always easy, and Scott needed to make some decisions concerning his future. Ultimately, the band was not in those plans, so…we wish him all the best & respect his choice. As you can see, there’s been a LOT going on in the DKL camp. You could say we’ve been…busy. BUT, there is positive news. Like I said before, THE NEW MUSIC IS KICK ASS! We have grown a lot over the last year and a half the new music is an evolution of the band as a whole. For the people that enjoyed the melodic side of DKL (Feel the Break, Track 13, Goodnight), there will be plenty of stuff for you to enjoy. For all those feeding off the anger (Rot, A Better Man Than Me, Pain) you WILL be taken to a new level. The music we write is who we are no bullshit, ever. You’d see right through us, and we know that. As far as a new guitarist goes, enter Jason Bozzi. Formerly of the band Gargantua Soul out of New Haven CT, Jay is a proven veteran of the music scene. He’s toured relentlessly with G-Soul and has performed with tons of bands like Soil, Rage Against the Machine & Hatebreed to name only a few. He’s a tremendous performer, musician and human being, and brings a fire to this band not felt in a loooooooooooooong time. I can’t tell you the last time we were this excited to write, record and perform and bring this f*cking built up insanity to all of you. We’ve been working non-stop on the new songs, we have some new pictures of us in our home studio that will be posted soon, and we WILL be booking some shows in the upcoming months. It’s been far too long. Scrap 60 and DKL have been busting ass as well on the recording of the new music. Eddie and Rob are great they have been there for us since day one and we know that we share the same vision. We have 3 songs done with final mixes right now: ‘This You Never’, ‘Hindsight’ and ‘Few & Far Between’. There are plenty of other songs in the pipeline just waiting to be recorded, and in the coming weeks we will be getting the music out. We will post a track for you all as well (we’ll let you know when this happens with another clever email), which brings me to my next point. Our official web site (www.drykilllogic.com) will probably have to go down for a few days due to ‘administrative necessity’. In the meantime (and as a habit moving forward) you should all check out www.psychodramarecords.com. This is our site to do what we will we have tons of pics up, contests for COOL FREE SHIT (not some ol’ bogus crap), an address to send demos to the band, messageboard, etc – bookmark it and come back and visit our asses!!! Not sure exactly when this is going to happen as of yet, but be aware… …and that is about it. Adversity not only builds character it reveals character. No matter what happens, DKL is still and will always be a family, and I can’t tell you how much you all mean to us. Reading all your emails and seeing that you guys haven’t forgotten about us is humbling we have a lot of respect for you all and take pride in building relationships with all of you. No matter what industry nonsense may occur we will ALWAYS be musicians growing and playing and writing and appreciating all of your support, kindness and well wishes. Remember: psychodramarecords.com, email us at the addresses on drykilllogic.com, and pass this email along to any DKL fan you think may appreciate the knowledge. It’s only going up from here. I’m out like an Enron pension. You be cool now… -Cliff, Dave, Phil & Jason Dry Kill Logic

Machine Head Live Album Details

Posted on February 12, 2008

The live album by Machine Head is likely to be mixed by Colin Richardson at Chapel Studios right here in the UK in Lincolnshire. When? Next month, November, is the plan with the album in stores come mid Jan 2003. The majority of the album will be tracks from the band’s Brixton Academy, London show on Dec 8th 2001, with 2 additional tracks (‘None But My Own’ & ‘The Burning Red’) from the With Full Force festival in Leipzig, Germany on July 7th this year. These 2 tracks feature Vio-lence/Technocracy guitarist Phil Demmel, who some of you may have seen here recently with the mighty mighty Ten Ton Hammer. Why 2 tracks from Germany? ‘White Knuckle Blackout’ and ‘Deafening Silence’, originally intended to be included from the Brixton show, were not of the high quality recording required to make the cut. The tentative track listing is: 1. Bulldozer 2. The Blood, The Sweat, The Tears 3. Ten Ton Hammer 4. Old 5. Crashing Around You 6. None But My Own* 7. Take My Scars 8. I’m Your God Now 9. From This Day 10. American High 11. Nothing Left 12. The Burning Red* 13. Davidian 14. Supercharger * featuring Phil Demmel What else? The band are continuing to demo material for their next album and have about 12 songs in various stages so far. Some working titles include: 1. All Fall Down 2. Left Unfinished 3. Bite The Bullet 4. Descend The Shades Of Night 5. Pins And Needles 6. The Bandwagon

We’re Out Like Martha Stewart

Posted on February 12, 2008

Took a few moments to catch up with Cliff, Dry Kill Logic’s vocalist. Here’s what he had to say for himself. “We’ve locked our asses in the studio all year working on the new stuff, and we couldn’t be happier. It’s an evolution of the band in every aspect. For those of you that appreciated the melody in songs like ‘Feel the Break’, ‘Track 13’ and ‘Goodnight’, you will have plenty to choose from. And for all the maniacs that loved the heaviness of ‘Pain’, ‘A Better Man Than Me’ and ‘Rot’, we have taken it to a new level of aggression. It’s been a wacky year for DKL for sure if you thought we were pissed on TDSON, then you better duck and cover when you hear this one.
We’re out like Martha Stewart. See you all on tour.” Always a pleasure getting to chat to Cliff… thanks for the update dude.
