SLIPKNOT’s legendary self-titled album has been overwhelmingly voted by Metal Hammer readers as the best debut of the past 25 years! Over 16,000 of you voted in the magazine’s special 25th Anniversary Poll to find the greatest debut of the past 25 years and while the results were close, there was one clear-cut winner that truly, deeply smashed it.
SLIPKNOT’s classic 1999 self-titled opus managed to grab almost a third of all votes cast, beating off competition from the likes of Guns N’ Roses, KORN, MACHINE HEAD and even a cheeky cheat from Pantera.
Below is a list of the albums that were officially voted by YOU as the top ten greatest debuts of the past 25 years (percentage of overall votes in brackets):
