Killswitch Engage to support Iron Maiden on Legacy Of The Beast Tour!

Posted on November 17, 2017

Following the massively successful global tour of 2016-17 in support of their 16th studio album The Book Of Souls IRON MAIDEN will take to the road again in 2018 with a series of arena and festival shows in Europe on the Legacy Of The Beast World Tour opening in Tallinn, Estonia on May 26 and finishing at the o2 Arena, London on August 10.

The UK dates are:
JULY
31ST METRO RADIO ARENA, NEWCASTLE, ENGLAND

AUGUST
2ND SSE ARENA, BELFAST, NORTHERN IRELAND
4TH EXHIBITION & CONFERENCE CENTRE, ABERDEEN, SCOTLAND
6TH MANCHESTER ARENA, MANCHESTER, ENGLAND
7TH GENTING ARENA, BIRMINGHAM, ENGLAND
10TH O2 ARENA, LONDON, ENGLAND

The full European tour schedule can be found on ironmaiden.com and the tour is expected to continue in 2019.

The concept for the Legacy Of The Beast World Tour was inspired by Maiden’s mobile game and comic book of the same name and the stage set design will feature a number of different but interlocking “worlds” with a set list covering a large selection of Eighties material with a handful of surprises from later albums to add diversity.

Maiden manager Rod Smallwood explains further, “As our fans know, we’ve been following a particular touring cycle ever since Bruce and Adrian re-joined Maiden at the start of the millennium, alternating new album tours with “History/Hits” tours. We enjoy working this way for many reasons, not least because it gives the band a chance to play both new material and the older favourites which we know fans like to hear. It keeps things fresh, not just for the fans but for the band too. “For this History/Hits tour we decided to base the theme around the Legacy Of The Beast name, which suits our purposes perfectly by giving us scope to get creative and have some fun, especially with Eddie! I don’t want to give too much away at the moment but we’re working on a number of different stage sets, all in keeping with the Maiden tradition and we hope to give our fans a fantastic experience when they come to see this very special show.”

Killswitch Engage will be Maiden’s Special Guest on headline European shows from May 26 to July 1 inclusive, and in the UK from July 31 to Aug 10 inclusive. Guests on other shows are currently being finalized and will be announced soon.

Most shows go on sale Friday 24th November, please check IronMaiden.com for full details. As always, there will be an exclusive presale for Fan Club members, starting Monday 20th.

Killswitch Engage’s ‘Beyond The Flames’: Home Video Vol II Out Friday!

Posted on December 6, 2016

Grammy-nominated hard rock band Killswitch Engage will release Beyond The Flames: Home Video Vol II, this Friday, December 9. The release is a two-disc Blu-ray and CD package. Watch the trailer here.

Fans can pre-order from Amazon.

Beyond The Flames: Home Video Vol II is a treasure trove of gripping content, containing over 3.5 hours of footage. It is a complete piece that is sure to delight KsE fans, both diehards and casual, due the compelling history of the band and the honesty in which the story is told.

At the heart of this release is the 75-minute documentary that chronicles the return of original vocalist Jesse Leach, after nearly a decade away, to the band he helped form back in 1999.

The release also examines the KsE early years that eventually led to Leach’s initial departure. Produced and directed by KsE storyteller Denise Korycki, this documentary picks up right where their 2005 {Set This} World Ablaze release left off, revealing the untold rest-of-the Killswitch Engage story. Watch an exclusive clip from the documentary here.

For those KsE fans craving more live footage, Beyond the Flames: Home Video Vol II delivers in spades. Seventeen live performances have been captured from around the globe, including Leach’s first show back in the band, Download Festival, Knotfest, Loud Park Japan, and some surprises along the way. Here, fans can enjoy Killswitch Engage in their most natural state — alive, raw and reunited, doing what they do best.

Additional bonus material includes music videos, unique individual band member profiles, outtakes, and a bonus audio disc of six, previously unreleased live tracks from the band’s now-legendary 2014 “Monster Mosh” show in Worcester, Massachusetts.

The track listing for the live CD is:
No End in Sight
Life to Lifeless
Always
In Due Time
My Curse
The End of Heartache
Killswitch Engage are currently showing the UK exactly how good they are live, on tour with UK chums Bullet For My Valentine. The tour wraps up December 10 with 2 nights at the O2 Academy in Brixton, London.

Killswitch Engage have a brand new music video for ‘Cut Me Loose’, filmed on the salt flats in Utah. Directed by Jeremy Danger and Travis Shinn, the video is a new imagining of the song from the band’s latest album Incarnate, which was released in March 2016 via Roadrunner Records.

In addition to the video premiere and in keeping with The Talkhouse spirit, KsE vocalist Jesse Leach, who is known for his thought-provoking lyrics, shared his Top 10 favourite lyrics of all time with The Talkhouse, choosing amongst them Bob Marley, Marvin Gaye, Bad Brains, and The Clash. Killswitch Engage’s Jesse Leach shares his top 10 Bad Brains jams!

Posted on May 23, 2016

Killswitch Engage frontman Jesse Leach spoke to the guys at Team Rock about his favourite Bad Brains songs! Jesse also explains how he came to fall in love wit the band; The first time I heard Bad Brains was probably in 1993. One of my bandmates at the time played me I Against I off the I Against I record, and I remember sitting there listening and really taking it in. I didn’t have a language for the kind of music they were doing, especially that record because it’s so diverse, and when I found out that they were an all-black Rastafarian punk band, that kind of blew my mind.
