LAMB OF GOD are set to release their fifth studio album, ‘Wrath’, on 23rd February 2009. The record will be their first album with new label Roadrunner Records, outside of North America. ‘Wrath’ is produced by Josh Wilbur and was recorded in studios in New York, Virginia and New Hampshire.

LAMB OF GOD finished their touring cycle on the Grammy-nominated album, ‘Sacrament’ at the end of 2007. The two-year trek was documented in the ‘Walk with Me in Hell’ DVD and culminated with the band headlining arenas across the US last December. The band took the entirety of 2008 off the road to focus on the writing process for the new album.

“This album is going to surprise a lot of people,” comments drummer Chris Adler. “Typically bands that get to where we are in our career, begin to slack off, smell the roses and regurgitate. We chose a different path. No one wants to hear another band member hyping a new record. WRATH needs no hype. We have topped ourselves and on February 23rd you will feel it.”

As always, LAMB OF GOD will embark on an extensive tour that will cover the globe. As previously announced, the band will be supporting Metallica on selected shows in December. The first leg of the WRATH world tour will start in Finland on February 6th and will encompass dates in the UK, Australia and Japan.

KIDS IN GLASS HOUSES have been confirmed to play at the Love Music Hate Racism live event on Thursday 27th November 2008 at Matter, the new venue at the O2 Arena complex in London.

Swedish progressive metallers OPETH have completed work on the video for the song “Burden”. While Danish director Lasse Hoile (DREAM THEATER, PORCUPINE TREE, STEVEN WILSON) shot and directed the storyline in Denmark, OPETH shot the band performance at the Vogue theater in Vancouver, Canada.
