Unto Others

DREAM THEATER graced the stage at High Voltage Festival 2011 on the Sunday and blew away the audience in the most epic proportions. The band played one new track from the album, On The Backs of Angels, and if you fancy seeing what else they played, CLICK HERE for a photo of the full and actual setlist!

RockAAA caught up with Mike at the festival to discuss joining the band:

“Jordan and John Petrucci were able to compose with no drummer. So you’re going to hear the way they’ve always been, except with [just] them. When they sent me the demos I was taken back. I was almost worried that I was too happy in general and that I would like anything they sent to me, but it wasn’t just me. You’re gonna hear these guys do their core stuff, and they’ve been very successful so far so I can see no other reason but for everybody to really like this”

You can watch the full interview below:

There is also some footage of the band from the festival, which you can watch AT THIS LOCATION and if you’re a bit of a drum solo junkie, see below for some awesome hand work by Mr Mangini himself at the band’s recent Wolverhampton gig:

Planet Rock interviewed and reviewed the band’s set at High Voltage and there are some great shots from the their set HERE. In case you missed the news post this morning, the deluxe package has been updated with a picture so you can see all the stunning goodies included in this bundle. Check it out by heading over HERE.
