When poser bands dress up and try to act like they are “metal”, because it is suddenly “fashion”. You can’t become metal. You are or you’re not. Sorry.

In my book, MERCYFUL FATE and later KING with his own band were the first to combine truly occult topics with original, accomplished, catchy metal. Some of the best playing ever on those early KING DIAMOND records, ABIGAIL and THEM.
