KIDS IN GLASS HOUSES CHECK IN

Posted on July 8, 2009

It’s been a while since we have heard anything from the KIDS IN GLASS HOUSES guys and with good reason- they have been busy writing their new record, which they will set off to record in just a few weeks.

Their witty vocalist Aled headed on over to the bands Offical MySpace yesterday to write a blog to update their fans about what teh bejeeze has been going on in the land of KIGH…

Hey, it’s Aled. A member of what apparently appears to be the most inactive band of 2009. Don’t let our absence and silence fool you. We’ve not been recuperating in tropical climates on our respective yachts or private nudey beaches. In fact, we’ve spent pretty much every day this year dividing our time between our practice room in cardiff and a mansion in essex. No prizes for guessing which one was more fun.
The upshot of this quiet period is that we’ve finished writing our magnum opus. The difficult second record. Sophomore effort. All cliches in between. Honest to MJ, we’re totally stoked with it. Could not be happier had Steven Tyler come down and draped his silks on it.
We’ll be flying to El Paso, Texas on August 1st, to record the music for 2 weeks and then we’ll fly home and i’ll spend a week in the aforementioned mansion laying down vocals for our singles. After that we’ll be filming a video for our first single, and you’ll be first hearing that little ditty a few weeks after that. So after a slow start to the year, we’ll end in a blaze. Not a blaze up…

You can read the full blog HERE.

The guys will play a show before they depart- a free show “by the fountains in Cardiff” at 10pm, July 31st. Be there!
