DOWN ANNOUNCE SHOWS AROUND THEIR DOWNLOAD FESTIVAL APPEARANCE

Posted on April 18, 2009

New Orleans sludgemeisters, DOWN have lined up a couple of additional shows surrounding their slot on this year’s Download Festival at Donington Park in Derby (June 12-14). The band, whose current album ‘Down III: Over The Under’ was released to critical acclaim across the board last year, are already working on the follow up which will surface through Roadrunner Records in 2010.

In the meantime, frontman Phil Anselmo is at home in NOLA recovering from recent knee surgery, but will be fit and well in time for the summer’s shows in Europe; some of which are the mainland European Sonisphere shows with Metallica. The UK shows stack up as follows:

Fri 12th June – Glasgow QMU
Mon 15th June – Belfast Mandela Hall
Tue 16th June – Dublin Academy
