The latest review in THE SUN was no different:
Lamb Of God – Wrath
4 1/2 of 5
STUDIO album No5 sees the Virginia metal masters follow up 2006’s Grammy nominated Sacrement.
A surprisingly stripped-back production and unrelenting rage combine to result in their finest album to date.
It’s not so much a progression as a brutal underlining of their dominance in the extreme metal scene.
Crushingly heavy tracks blend perfectly with groove-based thrash to set an early benchmark.
A large part of Wrath’s triumph is also down to Randy Blythe’s distinctive vocals.
This is quite possibly the thrash album of the year. RL
