Silver Side Up Tops The Charts

After turning platinum in the UK last week (300K units shipped), NICKELBACK’s ‘Silver Side Up’ has hit the No.1 slot on the UK album charts, a staggering 25 weeks after its initial release. Buoyed by the success of debut UK single, ‘How You Remind Me,’ the album jumped up three places from No.4, trouncing last week’s No.1, Barbara Streisand’s ‘Best of..’ and the debut album from yodelling Britney-a-like, Shakira. The single currently sits at No.5 after 3 wks in the shops. NICKELBACK have just completed 4 sold-out UK shows (culminating in a packed-out Shepherds Bush Empire on Saturday) and are considering a return for one of the big festivals this summer.
