PINK IS THE NEW BLACK

Posted on February 12, 2008

Arguably one of the most important bands of the last 50 years, the New York Dolls have been attributed to startng many things, from PUNK to HAIR METAL the band have made a solid mark on the world. But now, thankfully, after many years they are back with an album that has shocked most. The album ‘One Day It Will Please Us To Remember Even This’ went on shelves yesterday, and the CD/DVD can be picked up for around 퉌£11.99 from HMV, Virgin, FOPP, Music Zone and your local ‘Roadrage’ store. Here are what a few people tthough about the album. “The NYD were the Frankenstein’s (both doctor and monster) of rock’n’roll history, the coolest and most under-rated zombies in the legion of the living dead. This album more than justifies their triumphant resurrection. 9/10” – ROCKSOUND “The first band I ever worked with, at Mercury records in 1972, has a brand new record í¢ä‰åäóì in 2006! í¢ä‰åäóì and it kicks ass. Excuse me while I kiss the sky.”**** – UNCUT “It’s the kind of rollicking, party-rockin’ fandango which, genuinely, nobody has the spirit or wit to put together these days. Primal Scream’s latest, for one, rings hollow and heartless by comparison. Memories, be damned – One Day it Will Please us to Remember Even This feels just great in the here and now. *****” – OBSERVER CLICK HERE to read more reviews. CLICK HERE to view the ecard.
