Posted on February 12, 2008

MEGADETH‘s Dave Mustaine is expected to announce that he has signed a deal with Dean Guitars, to develop his new signature-model guitars following his split with ESP Guitars this past fall, at the NAMM show (National Association of Music Merchants). The official announcement will be made on Friday, January 19 at 10:00 a.m. and will be broadcast via the official Dean webcast. Mustaine commented in a posting on the MEGADETH‘s official forum: “I have been busy getting to know my new guitar company and developing the new models that will be introduced next week at NAMM. I wish I could tell you what guitar company it is, but I am sworn to secrecy until the unveiling at NAMM. “Those of you industry people (or sneaky Droogs with someone else’s passes), if you are going to be at NAMM, meet me in the lobby of the Anaheim Convention Center at 1:00 pm. next Friday, January, 19th. “At that point, I am going to make the walk to my new guitar home and unveil my new Dave Mustaine Signature Model Guitar by ‘?’ I’m gonna hang out that afternoon for a bit, then on Saturday afternoon for an autograph session and to show off my new guitars. “Those of you that cannot be there, you can see it all broadcasted live just by tuning in to www.megadeth.com! “Hope to see you there or on the webcast!” SOURCE: BLABBERMOUTH
