Esteemed Bay Area metallers Machine Head have chosen to celebrate the 10th anniversary of their highly acclaimed debut offering “Burn My Eyes” by treating their fans to a special, one night only performance of the album in its entirety, August 8th at the Theatre of Living Arts in Philadelphia. Released worldwide on August 8th, 1994, “Burn My Eyes” was and still is considered to be one of the most important albums of its genre, garnering the band an unprecedented level of recognition and spawning a myriad of imitators – all from just their first record. “It’s hard to believe that it’s been ten years,” exclaimed bassist Adam Duce, “We’ve been having so much fun practicing and revisiting all those songs”. Since the album’s anniversary happens to coincide with a date on the annual Roadrunner Records-sponsored “Road Rage” tour featuring Machine Head, co-headliner and labelmates Chimaira, and up & comers Trivium, the band knew right away that a special treat was in order. On top of setting aside their entire scheduled setlist for the evening, the band have also chosen to forego their popular í¢äåñThrough the Ashes of Empiresí¢äå merchandise for the occasion, offering in its place, a single, limited edition í¢äåñBurn My Eyesí¢äå commemorative t-shirt, complete with original album artwork and the date of the event. Dave McClain adds, “I don’t know who’s gonna have more fun at this show, us or our fans! This is gonna be a killer show and a great way to say thank you to our fans for all their continuing support.í¢äå Be sure to catch this soon-to-be classic one-time performance, August 8th, at the Theatre of Living Arts in Philadelphia, PA.
