International Riff Lords Trivium are currently tearing up the UK on their UK tour. Although Drummer Travis states “The whole things been Fu*ckin’ awesome”, it seems that many of you have had your highlights. Sam Radcliffe from the Roadrunner street team descibes the bands explosive secret gig, at the Cardiff Barfly. “I arrived at the barfly not knowing the big secret queing up for “ember and the infernos” and to my suprise Corey and Matt (Trivium) walked out. Everyone rushed up for autographs and pictures and everyone was hoping they would play…..until they said they were just here to watch the tribute band with a smirk. We eventualy got in and the gig started. 5 familiar people walked on stage with beards and hot pants and one in Y fronts. They claimed they were from Oaklahoma and were talking like hillbillies. They then played material from Blink 182, Nirvana, Metallica and many others, they then walked off stage. 20 minuites later “Trivium” walked in with big grins, “did you guys fucking like the first band” the crowd screamed YEAH!! They went on to play songs from their latest album ASCENDANCY. Then we noticed that Matt Tuck fom Bullet For My Valentine were in the crowd (Matt slightly headbanging not to mess up his perfectly straightened hair) they finished with “Pull Harder On The Strings Of Your Martyr”.” REMEMBER: TRIVIUM – ASCENDANCY – OUT NOW
