About the British Music Experience
The British Music Experience, presented by The Co-operative, is the new national museum of Popular music, and the first genuinely interactive museum in the UK. The museum features iconic artefacts, from stage costumes and instruments to memorabilia and original lyrics – many loaned by the artists themselves. Unique ‘Smartickets’ enable visitors to download content from the museum as they go round the galleries, learning zones, music studio, dance booth and the audiovisual timelines. It has made its mark as the definitive home of the fantastic history of British popular music and its cultural influences.
