SLIPKNOT’S SID WILSON TELLS NME THAT THE BAND ARE SET TO RECORD A NEW ALBUM IN EARLY 2013…
Posted on May 4, 2012SLIPKNOT DJ Sid Wilson has suggested that the band will enter the studio in early 2013 to record the follow-up album to 'All Hope Is Gone'. The band have tentatively hinted in recent months that they are thinking about returning to the studio to record the next album but they have also been cautious not to jump back into anything too quickly as they are still grieving for the death of bassist and friend, Paul Gray.
Speaking to NME recently, Sid said that the band would enter the studio at the beginning of next year and, as soon as singer COREY TAYLOR had completed his touring with side project STONE SOUR, they would be back working on a new record. Asked about the possibility of a new SLIPKNOT record, Wilson said: "We've got Mayhem Festival this summer and after we break for winter and Stone Sour are done with their tour, we'll be back in the kitchen with Slipknot. Actually before Stone Sour finish touring we'll be in the studio preparing for Corey's return, keeping the irons hot."
