No Sleep Til Stalingrad
Posted on February 12, 2008As promised back on Wednesday when we first welcomed Roadrunner's newest signing, Red Tape, here is some music to get you a bit acquainted. The song, "Stalingrad." And as their A&R Rep Mike puts it, "I had been a fan of Red Tape since I heard an earlier recording two years back. Each song fired like a friggin' howitzer - the musical equivalent of a dirty nuke loaded with aggression, melody , steel nails and rocks."
"The version of 'Stalingrad,' recorded here by Orgy guitarist Amir Derakh was where it made sense. The aggression was there but so were the melodies. And when that bass comes rumbling in up front, you know this band means business. This is the same sort of stuff people like Dave Grohl have in their musical DNA. Music that's as catchy as it is an all-out assault."
